Yardi is Adding a Flurry of New Products and Services

Yardi, the commercial real estate tech firm, has announced another recent acquisition, as they’ve purchased Planimerton, a tech vendor that manages space, occupancy, and performance data. Yardi plans to rebuild and rebrand Planimerton’s space management product Propidex as Space Manager and make it part of Yardi’s CommercialEdge.

The financial terms of the acquisition weren’t released. Yardi says the new product will enable commercial real estate owners to store, edit, and share floor and site plans from one centralized location. Space Manager will help with marketing, leasing, forecasting, facilities, and construction operations. The tool acquired by Yardi was originally a visual one, and it will continue to be. According to a press release , owners and operators can interact with created floor plans, detailed stacking plans, and several other uses.

Yardi has been busy this year releasing new products. In May, the company announced with Fannie Mae that borrowers would be able to send rent roll and operating statement data through the firm’s software. Then in July, Yardi announced it would build space management software in partnership with WeWork. Yardi’s acquisitions and new products will make it even more entrenched in the real estate software world. While the real estate analytics and software market is competitive, it’s going to be hard to unseat the biggest players like Yardi, CoStar, and RealPage that have full-stack integrated platforms.
